Getting the Best Contact Lens Evaluation

Achieving the best contact lens isn't just a science; it's an art, and at Frost Eye Care, we've mastered it. It all begins with a contact lens exam.

Our Contact Lens Exams

Beyond standard eye and prescription measurements, our contact lens exams involve understanding your lifestyle, preferences, and unique vision requirements. We’ll also educate you on proper lens care, hygiene, and wear schedules, giving you a pair to try on during the exam and at home.

Bifocal and Multifocal Contacts

Presbyopia, or age-related farsightedness, doesn't mean sacrificing clarity or comfort. Determining the precise prescription for each eye allows you to enjoy sharp and focused vision at all distances without switching between glasses.

Gas-Permeable Lenses

Often called GP or RGP lenses, these lenses are crafted from rigid, oxygen-permeable materials that offer several advantages to wearers. Unlike soft lenses, GP lenses maintain their shape on the eye, providing crisp and clear vision by effectively correcting various refractive errors.

Their high oxygen permeability promotes eye health by allowing more oxygen to reach the cornea, reducing the risk of certain complications associated with prolonged contact lens wear. This exceptional oxygen flow also makes them an ideal choice for hard-to-fit eyes. Their rigid structure allows for precise customization, catering to irregular corneas or complex prescriptions that might pose challenges for soft lenses.

Additionally, GP lenses are durable and resistant to deposits, making them easy to clean and maintain. While adapting to GP lenses might require a brief adjustment period, many users find them exceptionally comfortable and appreciate the improved visual acuity they provide.
